How do I connect an Auxiliary OP to a main OP?
There is a connector on the Auxiliary (Aux) OP and main OP that are labeled “Analog Auxiliary Amplifier Interface”.
There will be 3 RJ45 slots for CAT 5 cables to go from the Main OP to the Aux OP. These 3 connections will be labeled 1, 2 and 3 on both OP’s. Using 3 CAT5 cables that are no longer than a 30 feet (all must be same length) connect 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and 3 to 3.
Connect a 16 Gauge, 1 conductor plenum rated cable from the Main OP negative (-) power terminal block to the Aux OP on the negative (-) on the power terminal block. This is to carry the ground signal from the Main OP to the Aux OP.
The main OP will have its own power supply and the Aux OP will have its own power supply. From each power supply, run a 16-2 from the power supply positive and negative to each OP, positive and negative
